Our goal since 2004 is to be the best "Full Service Landscape Firm" in the TRUCKEE / NORTH LAKE TAHOE area & we have been nominated the "Best Landscape Company" in Truckee / North Tahoe two years in a row!!

We have an up to date / well maintained fleet of trucks, trailers, equipment, power & hand tools. Our yard is perfectly located in the center of Truckee, California.... (Just a few minutes off I-80 and 25-30 MINUTES WEST OF RENO, Nevada.) We take pride in being a growing local leader in the area. We offer a well rounded employment package, along with providing a safe, fun and hard-working environment for our team.
We are currently seeking applicants for our Equipment Operator position!
Equipment Operator: 3 years minimum experience required. Must be familiar with safely operating Mini Excavator, Skid Steer, Loader and Backhoe. *(We run Cat, Deere and Bobcat equipment).
$26-$31/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Mini Excavator, Skid Steer, Loader, and Backhoe safely and efficiently.
  • Follow company's safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented, solutions-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Equipment Operator.
  • Familiarity with Cat, Deere, and Bobcat equipment.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.

Please Note:

  1. We provide more than a competitive wage.. we provide a well-rounded package based on listening to our Team Members needs. (*See below for hourly wage ranges and outline of our benefit package).
  2. We provide a fuel allowance for all team members who drive more than 20 miles (round trip) per day to our yard after (30) days if the average regular gas price is $5.50/gallon or more between (3) of the local gas stations.… See below for other benefits & bonuses!
  3. Full time help is preferred but we can work with the right part time applicants who have other part time jobs, outside responsibilities, children, etc.
  4. Applicants who will be driving MUST have a clean DMV record (NO DUI's), own their own transportation, be hard working, energetic, trustworthy, able to take direction, on time and willing to work long days in all types of weather conditions.

*PLEASE NOTE:

1.) Most team members make an additional $3 - $10/hr when benefits / Allowances are factored.

OUR BENEFITS PACKAGE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING INSURANCE, BONUSES, VACATIONS & ALLOWANCES (We take care of our team members by providing a well-rounded employment package!!) :

INSURANCE

  • 50% of Health, Dental & Vision insurance paid after 60 days for year around team members.
  • 100% of Health, Dental & Vision insurance paid after 5 years for year around team members.
  • Very competitive wages.
  • Advancement opportunities with a career ladder.
  • If desired.. most work weeks will include overtime pay. (We pay "Time & Half" for any hours worked over (8) hours each day).
  • Paid training.
  • Employer matching (3%) Simple IRA retirement plan available for all team members.
  • Up to (24) hours of paid sick time.
  • Paid Holidays (6)... Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day!

BONUSES

  • “Spring bonus” program for returning team members if we reach our previous season's goals. (Ranging from $500 to $4,000 depending on hours worked during season, position, years with Peak, etc).
  • “Loyalty Bonus” of $100 per season worked. (Paid in August)
  • “End of season Bonus” program. (Ranging from $1,200 to $8,000 depending on hours worked during season, position, years with Peak, etc).
  • “Winter Bonus” program (Ranging from $600 - $2,000)

VACATIONS

  • One week (40-hour PAID Summer vacation) after 3 years of employment.
  • 24-hour PAID Winter vacation after 4 years of employment. *(Applies to year around team members).
  • Two week (80-hour PAID Summer vacation) after 6 years of employment.

MISC BENEFITS / ALLOWANCES

  • Fuel Allowance of 30 cents per mile will be extended to those team members who drive 20 miles or more round trip from there place of residence to our yard (11028 Comstock Dr.) This will take affect after (30) days of employment & only applies to those who drive their vehicles into work.
  • * This benefit is eliminated when the average regular gas price between (3) Local fuel stations in Truckee dips below $5.50/ gallon
  • Uniforms, Rain Gear & Protective Equipment provided.
  • Monthly "Safety Celebration" drawing.
  • Monthly Drawings if there are no "Company or Client Damages" during the previous month.
  • New employee referral incentive program of $2,400 per employee you refer to us. (1/3 paid after 45 days, 1/3 paid after 90 days and the remaining 1/3 paid at end of season).
  • We pay for English / Spanish classes & Green industry certifications, seminars & gatherings.
  • Cell phone allowance for Foreman Managers. (*Must work until layoff to receive)
  • Ski Pass allowance of $779 for Foreman Managers. (*Must work until layoff to receive)
  • Winters off to do as you please! (Our typical season runs from April to November).
  • Join one of our snow shoveling or fair weather winter work crews
